The 2016 Blanco is an excellent match for easygoing summer picnic fare, as well lemon herb chicken, shellfish in butter sauce, and Asian stir fry.
The 2016 Blanco is exuberantly aromatic, offering a nose of nectarine, white grape, guava and orange blossom with classic varietal “musky” notes. The palate is rich and viscous with luscious flavors of pear, banana, pineapple and lemon zest, all finishing with sleek acidity and quenching length.
The Muscat comes from Block 40 at Margarita Vineyard, where cool conditions foster fruit with abundant acidity and vivid varietal character. The Chardonnay hails from Block 22, another cool location that is ideal for the Chardonnay grape. Both lots were gently pressed prior to cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve natural fruit freshness in the wine. The two lots were then blended in January and returned to stainless steel tanks for further integration and aging prior to bottling. In the final blend, the Muscat provides assertive aromatics and luscious fruit flavors, while the Chardonnay adds a measure of richness and
